ICEF Academy is a new e-learning platform for international student recruitment specialists and agents seeking professional development opportunities.
With ICEF Academy, you’ll learn how to navigate student recruitment for some of the world’s most popular study destinations, and develop skills that distinguish you within the field. You’ll join over 16,000 education counsellors from around the world in holding an ICEF training certification.
“The launch of ICEF Academy marks the beginning of an exciting series of expansions to our professional development portfolio, with new courses and training resources to be added regularly,” said ICEF CEO, Markus Badde.

Their courses cover the most detailed aspects of some of the world’s leading education systems, and are created in partnership with government bodies and leaders in the sector. One of the courses includes a recently refreshed and updated Education Agent Training Course (EATC).
The Education Agent Training Course (EATC) is an industry recommended, government recognised online course on the Australian education system. Graduate as a Qualified Education Agent Counsellor (QEAC) and join a global network of over 10,000 education professionals
Having undergone extensive updates which include recently announced legislation and regulation changes, the EATC provides counsellors with key information on Australia's international education landscape, in-depth study of the market at large, and tools to enhance professional development.
The EATC is delivered fully online for self-paced learning, and includes readings, links to related resources, self-assessment quizzes and case studies.
This platform development comes after ICEF's recent acquisition of of digital platform PIER from Australia-based International Education Services. Together, PIER and ICEF have trained over 100,000 agent counsellors.
Launched in 2003, PIER has specialised in training solutions for education agents, educators and students around the world. ICEF has worked closely with PIER since it began delivering professional agent training since 2010.
