Advocacy

English Australia proactively engages with the commonwealth government, state/territory governments and other bodies in representing the English language industry perspective on a range of matters of relevance to its over 120 member college centres throughout Australia who provide quality English language programs to students and professionals from around the world.

As the peak industry body and voice of the industry, English Australia maintains a global reputation as the acknowledged thought leaders within the English language industry in Australia.

Submissions

English Australia’s government relations contribute to our position as the premier peak body for thought leadership and advocacy for the ELICOS sector.

Advocacy is an important part of our day-to-day activities whether it is meeting government ministers, representing the organisation at an international level, making submissions, releasing policy documents or participating in government working parties.

Making submissions gives us the opportunity to put forward a clear and united voice on behalf of our members.

Members and staff undertaking advocacy activities ensure members’ views are heard at the highest levels.

We value your ideas and welcome your participation in policy development and submissions to government.

Please contact the Secretariat if you would like to discuss any issues.

Our Mission Statement

As the voice of the English language teaching sector, we empower our members through advocacy and leadership while driving ever higher levels of professionalism.
