English Australia would like to invite you to participate in two research projects aimed at supporting the sector’s recovery and growth post-pandemic. These projects are part of the New South Wales Government’s Partner Projects grant program.
The first project, named Diversifying The International Student Population in New South Wales, will examine opportunities for the international education sector in NSW to diversify its source countries by identifying key emerging markets. Growing the sector’s presence in new or emerging markets will be a crucial strategy to support its recovery and long-term sustainability.
The second project, Market Focus: Student Engagement Guide in Online Delivery, will explore opportunities for NSW education providers to expand their reach through EdTech solutions and remote learning.
As an English Australia member, your participation in the research would be invaluable, as your contribution would help us and BONARD build a solid evidence base to guide the sector’s future strategy.
We would be really grateful if you could complete the survey for providers (it takes about 10 minutes) and help us distribute the second survey to your students:
Please follow this link to complete the survey for the first project, Diversifying The International Student Population in New South Wales.
Please share this link for distribution to students of the second project, Market Focus: Student Engagement Guide in Online Delivery.
Both projects are expected to be finalised by the end of May 2023, and industry webinars will be organised to present the findings.
The two projects will be led by English Australia, while BONARD will coordinate in-depth research and intelligence gathering.
More information on the projects:
The first project, named Diversifying The International Student Population in New South Wales, will examine opportunities for the international education sector in NSW to diversify its source countries by identifying key emerging markets. Growing the sector’s presence in new or emerging markets will be a crucial strategy to support its recovery and long-term sustainability. However, with the top five source markets accounting for 61% of all enrolments pre-pandemic (across all sectors), work needs to be done to identify the best opportunities for NSW providers.
The second project, Market Focus: Student Engagement Guide in Online Delivery, will explore opportunities for NSW education providers to expand their reach through EdTech solutions and remote learning. With online and remote learning becoming popular during the pandemic and cementing their role in the education sector, it is crucial for the sector to invest in developing EdTech products to facilitate international student engagement and contribute to the long-term growth of NSW as a study destination.
Both projects are expected to be finalised by the end of May 2023, and industry webinars will be organised to present the findings.
We thank you in advance for your time.
