Visa trends:
ELICOS only grants up by over 96%
The Independent ELICOS sector grants were up in May 2023 by 96.59%, compared with May 2022, with 3,062 more grants.
Offshore grants for Independent ELICOS were up by over 55% in May 2023, with 1,715 more grants, compared to May 2022. Onshore grants for Independent ELICOS were over twenty-five times higher, with 1,347 more grants.
ELICOS only visas granted to citizens from China were again over 12 times higher and again over five times higher for citizens from Vietnam in May 2023 compared to May 2022. ELICOS visa grants for citizens from Colombia were up 112.33% with 1,157 more grants, while grants to citizens from Chile were up by 67.12% or 147 more grants for the same comparison period.
ELICOS only lodgements up by over 23%
ELICOS only visa lodgements were 23.85% higher in May 2023 than in May 2022, with 5,744 total lodgements. ELICOS only lodgements from Chinese citizens were almost four times higher than in May 2022 and 273.33% higher from citizens from Vietnam for the same time period.
