NSW PD Fest

Join English Australia NSW Branch members for their annual professional development festival, showcasing best practice in member colleges. NSW PD Fest is a vibrant, practitioner-led event that showcases practical ideas, emerging practice, and fresh thinking across the English Language Teaching (ELT) sector.

PD Fest registrations include:

• morning tea and light lunch
• a program of plenary and breakout sessions
• networking opportunities.

Please note that by registering for this event, you give permission for English Australia to capture group photos during the event and use them for promtional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in photos, please email Sophie O'Keefe.

It is possible to register a group of people at the one time. Please read below for instructions on how to do this.

Call for Presenters

We are now inviting abstract submissions from educators and professionals interested in presenting at NSW PD Fest.

Presenting at NSW PD Fest is a fantastic opportunity to:

• share your ideas and experiences with colleagues from across New South Wales
• contribute to professional learning in our sector
• build confidence and experience in conference-style presenting

Suggested presentation topics include:

• Pedagogy and classroom practice
• Educational technology and GenAI
• Assessment
• Teacher development and professional interaction
• Student Services and Administration
• Student wellbeing and welfare
• Management and leadership

Please note this is not an exhaustive list. We welcome abstracts on any topic related to English language teaching, learning, and the student experience.

You may submit an abstract for one of the following formats:

• 30-minute presentation, including at least 5 minutes for discussion or Q&A
• 60-minute workshop, designed as an interactive session with active audience participation

Bright Ideas Competition
