PEAL Practitioner Competency Framework

The PEAL SIG has developed a Competency Framework for PEAL practitioners. The Framework development was led by PEAL SIG Convenor Sue Gollagher and the Framework was written together with a committee of PEAL practitioners.
The English Australia PEAL Competency Framework has been designed to extend the original English Australia CPD Framework. The competencies outlined in the original Framework equally apply to PEAL educators, who are assumed to be Accomplished or Lead in most of its dimensions. Thus, the English Australia PEAL Competency Framework outlines additional competencies that are:

  • Relevant to PEAL
  • Not encapsulated by the original CPD Framework.

The PEAL Competency Framework includes three documents, which can be viewed below. They are 1) the competencies 2) the Framework overview and 3) the Framework glossary.
