The online English Australia Continuing Professional Development Portal and self-assessment tool for teachers is available exclusively to English Australia members.
Powered by OpenLearning, the Portal takes a needs-based and individualised approach to teacher professional development where teachers can build their professional development portfolio, undertake custom designed courses aligned to their individual needs, and connect with the English Australia professional community.

Bulk uploads for member colleges
Member colleges can email us a list of teachers who would like to be added to the new Portal and we will do a bulk upload on your behalf. Please email [email protected] with teachers’ full names and emails, and ensure teachers have consented to being added to the Portal
Take our self-assessment quiz so you can diagnose which areas of your teaching you may need to work on. Our CPD self-assessment quiz helps you to assess your capabilities against the English Australia CPD Framework.
We offer self-paced online CPD courses for English language teachers that are aligned to the English Australia CPD Framework. Each course that is completed earns you CPD points and a certificate of completion.
A digital certificate of completion for all your completed courses will be added to your personal CPD Credentials page within OpenLearning. You can build your credentials and share them via a link.
Learn and gain inspiration from other English Australia member teachers by sharing your ideas and content in course forums.

To assist with teachers’ professional development journeys, our bespoke self-assessment quiz enables teachers to assess their capabilities against the English Australia CPD framework. Based on the descriptors of the nine teaching areas and four phases of teaching competency in the CPD Framework, the tool can help teachers decide which courses in the CPD Portal to undertake.
